Restaurant Review 食评：- Tang Dian Wang 汤点王, SunTec City Mall, Singapore 新加坡

 Once in a while you come across a really under appreciated restaurant. You really feel that when you pass by or go into 'Tang Dian Wang' - a Shanghai eatery in Suntec City Mall.

The staff seem inviting and happy to welcome you to their fine restaurant.

The Open Kitchen looks splendid and the Chefs seem well skilled to serve you the finest food.

你经过了一个不怎么招人喜欢的饭馆。你真的会这么觉得当你经过“汤点王”-一个在新达城的上海饭馆。
员工看上去很热情地欢迎你。
开放式厨房看上去很棒，厨师们看上去很会烹饪佳肴。

 The lanterns and decoration seem acceptable and the table is large enough for many dishes and the chairs are comfortable to bask in.

Service was prompt and our Mainlaind Chinese waitress attentive and efficient.

灯笼装饰看上去可以接受，桌子够大放很多菜肴，椅子很舒服。

服务很快，我们的汉语服务员很有效率。

 We love places with Open Kitchens where you can see exactly how clean and organised the Kitchen was.我们喜欢开放厨房，因为你可以看他们多干净多有在秩序。

This one seemed very calm and collected and the Chefs seemed firmly in command of their area of expertise.这个看上去很安静，厨师很正式厨房很专业。

We were humbled by the speed of service and felt comfortable and relaxed. No annoying music being played and there was a feeling of authenticity.我们为服务的快速而吃惊，感觉舒服而放松。没有任何烦人的音乐，有一种真实感。

 The 'Baby Squid in Special Sauce' we ordered was unfortunately not up to our expectations and did not seem a typical dish from Shanghai. This was a shame as it was noted in the menu as a 'Must Try'.

It was too spicy and too crunchy and was not what we were expecting.

Not Recommended.
“怪味墨鱼仔”我们不幸地点了这个，不如我们预料的好 ，而且不像上海菜。不知道镇么会在菜单上写着“必须尝试”。
太辣太干，跟我们想得不一样。
不推荐。

 The 'Braised Pork Rib with Special Sauce Set' was amazing.

The Pork was delicious - as soft as meatloaf and the gravy was just right.

The rice was complimentary to the main dish and the taste was wonderful.

This was a truly tasty dish!
“排骨酱汁套餐”非常棒。猪肉非常美味-烘肉卷搬柔软，肉汁很好。
米饭搭配主菜，味道极好。
这个真特好吃!

The price was very fair and we were surprised at only having to pay around 25 dollars.

We would give this place 8 out of 10 if we had only tried the Pork Ribs - however the Squid was not up to standard and would bring the rating down to 6/10.

We recommend that you avoid the Squid if you do not like spicy food.
价钱挺公道，我们很惊讶只需要付25块。
我们会给8/10分如果我们只尝试了排骨饭的话-然而墨鱼是在不怎么样，所以6/10分。
我们推荐你别点墨鱼，如果你不喜欢辣的菜的话。

Restaurant Review 食评:- Yomenya Goemon五右卫门, Somerset索美赛, Singapore

 The Yomenya Goemon Japanese Spaghetti House Restaurant is sublimely located at Somerset 313 on Orchard Road.
左右卫门日本意大利面饭馆位于寸土寸金的乌节路索美赛313。

We had never really experienced a Japanese Spaghetti Restaurant before but were looking forward to this interesting concept.
我们没怎么去过日本意大利面饭馆，但是挺期待这个有趣的概念。

The restaurant has an attractive exterior and the display case showing some of their dishes gives you a preview of what to expect when you step inside.这个饭馆有很吸引人的入口，展示了一些他们的菜色，你站在门口就可以提前看到你可以吃到什么。

 Their colourful dishes also appeared to have healthy sized portions for Singapore.

This certainly encouraged us to step inside and the prices seemed a lot reasonable than the neighbouring restaurants too.

他们色彩丰富的菜色也显示了在新加坡健康饮食的一面。
这显然更让我们进入饭馆，价格也比旁边的饭馆看着合理。

Amazing that this restaurant chain is the second largest restaurant chain in Japan and has been running for 34 years.
这居然是日本第二大连锁饭馆，开了34年了。
Of course we also noted the added benefit of their dishes being cooked in Olive Oil to lead to lower cholesterol.
当然我们也注意到了他们的菜用橄榄油作的，让卡路里更低。

There was luckily no queue but the place was quite busy.
很幸运没人排队，可是这地方也挺忙的。

We were offered a cramped couple of seats in front of the open kitchen but refused.
我们被带到狭窄的双人座，就在开放厨房前，但是我们拒绝了。

 We were then led through to a small yellow table next to a blue wall. Interesting colour scheme!
我们被领到一个小黄桌子前，在一个蓝色墙旁边，有趣的颜色主题！

There did not appear to be much space in this restaurant.
这个饭馆里没什么空间。
On the plus side we ordered and our food came quickly.
加分的是，我们的菜上得挺快的。

This dish was the 'Genovese - shrimp, advocado and Fresh Herb with Genovese Sauce'.
This was delicious especially the Advocado - and the texture of the Spaghetti was so soft and divine.
这个“热那亚-虾、牛油果、新鲜香草-意大利面”很软很美味。

 As part of the Half and Half Set - My first dish was the 'Tomato Sauce with Bacon, Basil and Mozzarella'. 作为半半套餐的一部分-我的第一个菜是“番茄酱熏肉，Basil和马苏里拉奶酪”。

This was delicious - especially the 'Tomato Sauce - the ingredients tasted so fresh.
这很好吃-特别是番茄酱-组成材料吃上去很新鲜。
Recommended! 推荐！

The 'Cream Sauce Spaghetti with Crab, Shrimp and Scallop' was fine - though not as good as the other dishes I would say.
“奶油汁意面和螃蟹、虾和贝”还行-不如我刚才说的那个好。
There was a small amount of Crab but too little I would say. The Scallops were nice. I would give this dish a rating of satisfactory.
有少量的螃蟹，我得说太少了。扇贝很好-我会给这个菜满意分。

The Bill - around $40 was pretty reasonable for this meal.

Would give this restaurant - 8 out of 10.

However would only give it 6 out of 10 for the restaurant interior due to lack of space and small tables.

帐单-大概40块，还算合理。
给这个饭馆8/10分。
然而只给6/10分，因为饭馆里面的空间太少，位子太小。

Restaurant Review:- Mustard Punjabi Restaurant, Singapore

 Mustard - Flavours of Bengal and Punjab looked so much more inviting than the South Indian place next door.

Mustard-孟加拉和旁遮普风味的饭馆，看上去比旁边那个南印度饭馆更吸引人。
It looks colourful and modern and has a great ambience about it.
看上去色彩鲜艳，有现代感，挺有气氛的。

When we entered we were greeted warmly with a smile and the temprature inside was not too hot yet not too cold. Just right!

 The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a warm buzz about it.
 我们进去的时候，感受到了热情的微笑服务,里面的温度不太热也不太冷。挺好！
饭馆的装饰很好，有不错的装饰和热情的气氛。
The Indian music was pleasant and not too loud.

The service was very good and very prompt - we did not have to wait for anything.
印度音乐让人高兴，也不太吵。
服务很好很快-我们什么都不用等。

I'm glad we discovered this place on RaceCourse Road. 我很高兴我们在RaceCourse Road发现了这个地方。

 I ordered the 'Kadhai Murgh Tikka Masala'.
This consisted of tender chicken chunks in fenurgreek sauce.
我点了'Kadhai Murgh Tikka Masala'，由软的鸡肉块和葫芦巴酱料组成。
The mixture tasted so nice and was perfect with plain nan and Zeera Rice.

混合在一起吃上去不错，和馕、Zeera米饭是绝配。

I would say at the very beginning - It did not seem a lot - but by the end of the meal we were very full and completely satisfied.
我刚开始的时候觉得-这菜不太够吃-可是后来我们都吃得很饱很满意。

 The Zeera Rice (Cumin Flavoured Basmati Rice) was recommended by our waiter.
Zeera米饭（茴香味道的Basmati饭）是服务员推荐的。
This did not seem to be anything really special - but was essentially standard fare.
这个并不那么特别-基本标准味道。

I would have preferred Pilau Rice.
我更喜欢和肉一起煮的饭。

 The Tandoori Chicken was on a Specials Board in front of the restaurant.

Tandoori 鸡肉在饭馆前的特别推荐招牌上。

My friend enjoyed this - but to be honest I found it a little dry.

我的朋友喜欢这个-但是我觉得有点干。

It was cooked well though and it was satisfactory really.

做得很好，让人满意。

The plain Nan was presented well - but was not anything Special - and so it was pretty ordinary.

There was not too much yet not too little for two people.

Again - just right!!

馕还可以-没什么特别-所以一般般。

不太多，也不太少，两个人够了。



The Bill seemed a liitle too expensive for what we got.、

帐单有点贵。

But, we were very satisfied specifically with the Chicken Tikka Masala.

可是我们特别满意Chicken Tikka Masala。

Mustard would get 7 out of 10 for ambience and good service yet for food and price only 6 out of 10.

Mustard 得到7/10分，因为气氛和好的服务，食物和价格6/10分。

Restaurant Review :- Siam Kitchen, B1 - Suntec City Mall, Singapore

The Siam Kitchen claims to be an 'authentic' thai restaurant. We wanted to put this to the test by tasting a particular thai staple - which is 'Green Curry Chicken.'
 Siam Kitchen 貌似应该是真正的泰国饭馆。我-们打算试试某些泰国菜的味道-绿咖喱鸡。
Would it be the real deal? Could we be eating the same fare in Chiang Mai or Krabi?
 行不行啊？我们能在清迈或者卡拉比吃到？
Would the spicy coconut seduce us and the fine texture of only the best Chicken meat want us to return sooner rather than Later?
辣椰浆会辣死我们，还是找到最好的鸡肉料理，让我们想再回来吃？

The interior is pleasant and colourful if a little fake.
 里面装饰挺鲜艳动人，有点假。
There did not seem to be many waiting staff around yet one did appear and show us to a table.
 没什么服务员在里面等着，一个给我们找了张桌子。
Unfortunately we had Justin Bieber and other contemporary music classics inflicted upon us.
 不幸的是，我们被里面的Justin Bieber及其他垃圾音乐雷到了。
Were we in Macdonalds or Siam Kitchen?  It was hard to tell!
我们在麦当劳么？很难说啊这个！

                                           

We ordered and the dishes were served within 15 minutes - quite efficient.  My friend enjoyed the Green Thai Chicken Curry - in fact it was a fantastic fusion of flavours with Aubergine and Chicken - highly recommended. Pretty Authentic!
我们点了菜之后15分钟上齐了，挺效率的。我朋友很爱吃绿咖喱鸡-实际上这道用茄子和鸡肉做的菜非常赞。强烈推荐!真的！

My dish was the Beef Noodle soup. The Beef was tasty but I have to say the Soup was too salty and made you quite thirsty.
 我的牛肉汤面。牛肉很好吃，可是我不得不说，汤很咸，会让你很渴。
The noodles were nice but not as plentiful as I would have liked - I felt very refreshed with healthy goodness after eating this and it felt like real homecooked food.
 面条很好，可是不是我想的那么多-我吃得很爽很健康，跟家里做的饭似的。
Would give this dish the thumbs up :)
这个菜赞一个。

The next dish was Deep Fried Fish Fillet with Chu Chee Sauce. Unfortunately this dish was a lot smaller than portrayed in the menu.

This was very dissapointing - the taste was fine and the Sauce was fine but nothing out of the ordinary really.Not recommended!
下一道菜是炸鱼和辣酱。不幸的是这道菜比菜单上的小很多。真让人失望。味道还好，酱也还好，但是没什么特别的。不推荐。 

The bill was fine at $33 as the food was quite filling. In summary would highly recommend the Green Chicken Curry and Beef Noodle Soup.
Avoid the Deep Fried Fish Fillet if you are hungry  as it is a small portion!
Siam Kitchen deserves 7 out of 10. The food was nice but the annoying background music in the restaurant would have reduced the score if their food had not been so good!
帐单还行，33块。因为食物还够吃。总之，高度推荐绿咖喱鸡和牛肉汤面。
别要炸鱼块，如果你很饿得话，那个太少了。
这个饭馆评7/10分。食物好吃，如果不好吃，背景音乐那么烦人肯帝要减分的！

Restaurant Review:- Watami Casual Japanese Restauarant

 Watami Casual Japanese Restaurant is situated in Ion Orchard near Orchard MRT station in Singapore.
和民日本饭馆在乌节路ION地铁站。
Whilst browsing the menu outside - the 'Pleasure Set' caught our eye - $49 for what looked like a wide variety of dishes.
看了一眼外面的菜单，一眼看到欢乐餐，49块包括好多好吃的。
We ventured in and were seated at a large booth like table to the side.
我们进去坐在一个巨大的桌子前面。

 The Service did not seem as good as some other restaurants we have been to recently.
服务不像我们最近去的其他饭馆看上去那么好。
This probably is due to the fact that this restaurant is located in a prime location - guaranteed trade means little effort required from Serving Staff.
这大概是因为地处繁忙地段，所以对服务员的要求不需要那么高，反正总会有人来。

 Twenty minutes after ordering the Chicken Katsu Tamago Toji was delivered to our table.
20分钟以后，我们的铁板亲子炸鸡送来了。
We were slightly bemused when the egg was left with us to crack open onto the Chicken Katsu was heated.
我们有点烦因为鸡蛋得让我们自己打在热气腾腾的锅里面。
There is no doubt that this dish is not the healthiest but tasted as expected - except the batter broke away a little which tainted the presentation and taste slightly.
这道菜无疑很不健康，但是味道和期待中一样，除了外面炸得部分脱离鸡肉，有点影响了菜的外观和味道。

 My friend had oolong Tea and I had Mango Juice.
Unfortunately the Mango Juice was not fresh so I would not recommend ordering this.
我朋友要了乌龙茶，我要了芒果汁。不幸的是芒果汁不是新鲜榨汁，不推荐这个。
The oolong Tea was satifactory my friend noted.
乌龙茶我朋友觉得还行。

 The Ishiyaki Black Pepper Beef tasted amazingly.
The concoction of flavours was very very nice.

It was delicious and was certainly the highlight of the set meal.
黑胡椒牛肉拌饭好吃极了，味道非常非常赞。

这么美味的东西，绝对是整个套餐的亮点。

 The Half Watami Salad had a beautiful accompanying sauce - which we still are uncertain of the ingredients.
和风沙拉又很搭配的酱汁，我们不确定成分是什么（大概有酱豆腐）
This made the Salad even more delicious than it actually was.
这让沙拉比平时的更好吃。

 The Agedashi Tofu was satisfactory.
炸豆腐让人满意。

It was crispy and easy to eat - it was a good choice for a side dish and we were glad we chose this.
外皮酥脆，容易吃，作为配菜是个很好的选择。

 The Beef Sukiyaki Nabe was an essentially very authentic Japanese dish.
牛肉火锅是非常地道的日本料理。

The soup had a very strong taste and the ingredients were all so fresh.
汤的味道强烈，原材料新鲜。

The Beef was so well cooked - yet retained a soft texture to it.
牛肉煮的刚刚好，入口即化。
It was very healthy yet very filling and really filled us.
这非常健康，也很多，让我们吃饱了都。

Unfortunately we did not expect the $58 dollar price tag and were a bit dissapointed with this - as the Service Charge was excessive.
不幸的是，我们并不期待58块的账单，有点失望，服务费太不值了。
This would make me think twice of resturning here.
下次去那儿吃的时候得好好考虑考虑。
We would give this restaurant 8 out of 10 for food taste and quality.
我们给这个饭馆8/10，因为食物的味道和质量。
For value for money it gets 3 out of 10.
要是因为价钱的话，3/10分算了。

Restaurant Review 食评:- Ramen Play 拉面玩家- B1, 313 Somerset索美赛, Singapore

 Ramen Play was the next culinary destination. It was a good time to arrive - just on 5pm on Saturday - as there were still a few tables left.
拉面玩家是下一个猎食目标。到达的时间正好-星期六下午五点，那儿还有一些座位空着。

What I really like about Ramen Play is the really swift service and delivery of food. There seems plenty of room and the restaurant is pleasantly decorated.、
我最喜欢这里的原因是他们服务和上菜都很快。座位之间有比较大的距离，而且饭馆的装修不错。

Another plus point is the Kitchen is open and you can see inside it through glass. Sort of gives you a sneak preview of what you will be served

另一个加分的地方是他们的开放式厨房。你可以通过玻璃看到里面。你可以提前看一眼你将吃到什么。

 There is a special offer on at the moment offering a Summer High Tea set - which did not select this though. The offer is open between 2pm - 6pm Daily.、
这里现在有夏日下午茶特价-但我们没选这个-每天下午2点到6点可以提供。

 I ordered Curry Ramen and my friend ordered a Tuna Daikon Salad.、
我点了咖喱拉面，我的朋友点了吞拿萝卜沙拉。

The Curry Ramen was very tasty - the noodles and the curried soup were delightful and would really appeal to people that like Spicy food.
咖喱拉面很好吃-面条和咖喱汤非常棒而且会很适合爱吃辣的人。

I also ordered Yaki Gyoza - 3 pieces which tasted as it would be expected to.
我还点了饺子-三个-和期待中的味道一样。

I summary I was quite happy with my dishes.
总之我吃得挺高兴。

The Tuna salad did not have as much Tuna as my friend would have liked - just a slight covering at the top.
吞拿沙拉没什么吞拿，正如我朋友喜欢的那样，只是薄薄一层盖在上面。

The Salad was fresh and it tasted fine - however it was not that filling for people who have very wholesome appetites.
沙拉很新鲜，吃着还行-然而大胃口的人肯定吃不饱。

All dishes were served promptly and at the same time. That was very pleasing.
所有的菜都上得很快，差不多是同时上的。挺赞的。

The Bamboo Chicken was above average but not amazingly delicious but it was a real novelty for us in the manner it was served. The chicken was really just normal fare so nothing extraordinary.
竹筒鸡吃起来一般般，不那么美味，但是为我们服务得不错。鸡肉正常的味道，没有什么特别的。

The bill was only thirty dollars which was very reasonable for a satisfying but not amazing meal. We were pleasantly surprised with this. 
帐单只有30块，对于一顿不错但是并不完美的饭来说，这价钱可以接受，我们挺高兴。

In summary the Ramen Play restaurant was satisfactory and is in a conveneient location.
总之，拉面玩家饭馆让人满意，而且地点方便。

We would give it 6.5 out of 10 - as it was reasonably priced and the service was good.
我们会给6.5/10-因为价格的关系，而且服务不错。

Cafe Review咖啡点评:- Joe & Dough, Suntec City, Singapore新达城，新加坡

 You can't miss Joe & Dough as it is pretty much the first thing you see when you enter Suntec City from the Promenade Mrt (Subway) train station. We received a lukewarm reception from the serving staff when they finally acknowledged us. No doubt Customers are pretty much guaranteed when they are located at that spot right beside Carrefour Supermarket.
你不能错过Joe & Dough，因为这是你从宝门廊地铁进入新达城之后看到的第一个东西。我们收到不冷不热的接待，当服务员最终注意到我们的存在的时候。当他们开在家乐福前面的时候，无疑顾客是很多的。

We sat at a lovely long table and commenced our people watching. Our sociological experiment had commenced. There were also a variety of small tables but they seemed cramped and less comfortable and used by small groups.
我们坐在一个很美好的长桌子前开始看人。我们的社会学试验开始了。还有一些小桌子，可是他们看上去很狭窄而且不那么舒服，有几个人在用。

This is definitely a place to hang out on Saturday or Sunday Afternoons.
这绝对是一个星期六或者星期天闲坐的好地方

The Lattes were presented beautifully with pretty flower patterns on top. It was touching! The coffee tasted delightful though the cups were a little too small for our liking.
上来的拿铁有漂亮的花形图案。很令人感动！咖啡尝起来很不错，虽然杯子对我们来说有点小。

The cakes looked delicious but we didn't try them.  Maybe next time we will!

There were a few cakes to choose from too!

On the whole a nice place to spend some time.  The verdict 6 out of 10.  You feel a little bit like a goldfish when sitting here - as people can treat you as an exhibit. It is not really a quiet place at times so this can be a drawback but it is convenient!
总之，是一个消磨时间的好地方。结论：6/10分。你坐在这儿的时候，感觉自己有点儿像金鱼-因为人们把你当展品看。这地方并不安静，所以这是个缺点，但是很方便！
