Restaurant Review:- Akashi Japanese Restaurant, The Paragon, Orchard Road, Singapore

The Akashi Japanese Restaurant is at a very convenient location at The Paragon, Orchard Road. It had a free table when we were in the vicinity so we decided to try it out.
The Menu was quite considerable which probably explains the restaurants appeal to Singaporeans and Foreigners.
The edamame soy beans were complementary and were tasty and much appreciated.
The Nabeyaki Udon Set had a lot of healthy vegetables but it did not taste like authentic Udon Noodles. It tasted more like Vegetable Soup with Udon - It was average. The fish pieces were nice though.
The Oyako Don was tasty and the Chicken pieces were succulent. It was a good choice.
The price was acceptable for that area of Singapore. The service was very slow though. Would we return again? Probably not!!

Restaurant Review :- Kim Gary Hong Kong Restaurant, Ion Orchard, Singapore

We decided to go to Kim Gary Restaurant in Ion Orchard after we saw the Korean Style Hot Plate dishes on offer.

The Almond Tea was tasty and not too sweet.

The yin yong was nothing special - it tasted more like coffee than tea and did not taste like a mixture of them both.

The cream soup and borsch soup arrived first. The Borsch tasted nicer and the Cream Soup just tasted average.  It was part of the set meal.
The Unagi Hot Plate set was very nice though there was too much rice.
The MangeTout was delicious and the mushrooms were nice.

The Seafood Hotplate set was also average with too much rice. It was not worth the 15 Singapore Dollars we paid for it.

The Kim Gary Hong Kong Restaurant was popular becuase of the Location.

We would not recommend this restaurant. The food was average and it was not good value for Money.

Restaurant Review:- Aloha Ma Maison Hawaiian Kitchen, Bugis +, Victoria Street, Singapore

We went to Aloha Ma Maison, Hawaiian Kitchen at Bugis + in Singapore.

This is a Hawaiian Theme Restaurant - it being Hawaiian - we thought it would have served large portions!

We were greeted amicably and had two comfortable seats.
I ordered the spaghetti carbonara. Unfortunately the  spaghetti was too oily and the portion was unexpectedly small!
The Katsu Curry was also a small portion - but the taste was as to be expected.

It was cooked well.
We thought this was expensive for a meal with small portions.

We would not recommend Aloha Ma Maison Hawaiian Kitchen unless you were going for drinks or Desserts - which look better value!

Bar Review :- Two Chefs, 229 Koktanod, Kata Beach, Karon Muang, Phuket 83100, Thailand

We went to the lovely 2 Chefs restaurant in Kata Beach Phuket. It is lovely to take advantage of their happy hour and order their delicious Frozen Magaritas.

This lovely raspberry frozen Magarita was heavenly in the Phuket Evening Heat.

It was lovely to watch the traffic and beach afficionados go by and look at the tuk tuk drivers touting for trade. A great spot
As you can see the Strawberry Frozen Magarita was also superb.

The Service here was great too - when we came here for the Second time - with greeted with 'Welcome Back' and escorted to our favourite Window Seat!
The happy hour seems very long - and we got our Margaritas for 95 baht each! Wonderful!
The Two Chefs is easy to find - as it is opposite the Boat House - behind Kata Beach in Phuket!
Here is the Blue Magarita - looking like a wonderful work of art!

It was just enjoyable to savour the atmosphere in this peaceful and ambient restaurant.
A Chocolate Frozen Magarita was decadent and was my favourite flavour by far.

The 2 Chefs is a perfect place to While away the hours in Kata Beach, Phuket.

5/5 for Service and Ambience.

4/5 for their Margaritas!

Restaurant Review :- Richoux, 41A S Audley Street, Mayfair, London, W1K 2PS

We were walking in Mayfair on a Sunday Morning and came across Richoux - which frankly is a gem of a restaurant. Magnificent in its eccentricity.

It feels plucked from the bygone eras and it was very difficult to find a table as many church goers and sunday strollers had come out to savour the atmosphere of this lively restaurant.

The interior decor was beautiful and building was statuesque.
The Mushroom risotto was very nice and the helping was average in size - but enough for us. It was cooked perfectly.
The club sandwich was run of the mill - but it meant my hunger quickly dissapeared.
The bill was very acceptable for Mayfair - a very expensive area of London.
We highly recommend this restaurant - especially for tourists - even to take a coffee and cake will be pleasing.

Service was avaerage - as they were quite understaffed - 2/5

Food - 4/5

Atmosphere - 5/5

Restaurant Review:- Ma Maison, Bugis Junction, Singapore

Ma Maison at Bugis Junction is a very relaxing and feel good restaurant, especially on a Sunday Afternoon.

The ornate pan european trappings stuck to the walls and ceiling are appealing, as is the sing-along Music.

How could that not attract you?

The Napolitan Spaghetti was very nice - but we  did not really care for the hotdog sausages. On the whole - It was nice though.
The Chasoba Salad was delicious and refreshing. The presentation was excellent too.We finished the lot!
Clam Chowder soup was nice but we were a little dissapointed that no bread was served with it. The soup was very nice but the portion was small.
Good value for some nice dishes. The ambient music lifts your spirits. The service was excellent too.

Ma Maison is certainly worth a visit.

Service :- 5/5

Food :- 3/5

Music and Surroundings :- 5/5

Overall :- 5/5

Cafe Review :- Hoshino Coffee, Plaza Singapora, Singapore

We walked around the expanded Plaza Singapura and came across a delightful Japanese Style Cafe. It was very busy and the sweet snacks looked tempting.

We were met and promptly ushered to a table for two.

The waiter did admit that they were short of waiting staff and unfortunately we did notice this when we ordered. I'm sure the management will sort this out quickly as it is a very popular and nice place.
The Honey Pancake melted in your mouth and was absolutely delicious. We would not hesitate to order this beauty again. The texture of the pancake was exquisite.

We recommend you try it.
The Mango Smoothie tasted fresh of the juicer - but not particular special either.
Being health conscious souls - we love Matcha and the Jot Matcha Latte was tasty - well mixed and the presentation in this fine bowl was nice.
The Vanilla Souffle was gorgeous - it went particularly well with the Matcha Latte.

The Vanilla center was so tasty. Highly recommended.
Quite an expensive place - as you see - over $40 dollars for 2 - but a really nice place to spend a Saturday Afternoon chatting with Friends and spending some relaxing times. Make sure you beat the crowds though.

2/5 for Service

4/5 for food and drink.

Verdict :- Recommended.
